This expensive shop on 111 San Fung Avenue is now controlled by a nearby drugstore just to hoard baby milk powder! Their lucrative business is able to drive financial companies away from this street!
Months ago Appledaily has reported that the rental cost of a nearby shop is above HKD 100,000, causing CITIC bank to close its branch.
The attic of a nearby tenement building has also been used to store baby milk powder. Previously it was a cyber cafe.
San Fung Avenue, considered as the main street of Shek Wu Market, Sheung Shui, is also known as “bank street” as many retail banks have established branches there for many years. But due to the cross-border smuggling activities in these two years, banks are moving out while smuggling goods stores are moving in.
