Fake Monks Invade Fanling; Shop at Jeweller

Fake monks from the People Republic of China have been spotted asking for offerings from the pedestrians in the tunnel near Fung Ying Sin Koon, a Taoist’s Temple in Fanling, Hong Kong, during Lunar New Year. They are fake because all Buddhist monks and Taoist priests in Hong Kong will not ask offerings on the street. Besides, there are no wandering monks or priests as they will register in a temple for lodging.

For people visiting Hong Kong: do NOT give money to any monks on the street. They are beggars in disguise. Maybe one day, you may meet them in the same jewelry shop.
